Serial Rapist Enters Plea In 4 Attacks On Teens, College Student
A serial rapist has entered a plea in four cases involving the sexual assault of teens and a Howard College student.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A Maryland man who police say pretended to be a Howard University student then drugged and raped teens and a young woman has pleaded guilty to charges he faced.
Julian Joel Lee Everett, 39, owned a barber shop in the Washington, D.C., area but lived in Prince George's County. He would meet the victims near the college campus then take them to his New Carrollton home where he sexually assaulted them and took photos and videos of the incidents, prosecutors said. One of the victims was a Howard University student. The incidents happened between 2005 and 2019.
On Thursday, Everett pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting four females, including teenage girls. At the time of the assaults, the victims were 16, 17 and 18 years old. One of the sexual assaults included physical assault, the prosecution said. Police believe there may be more victims.

“These are some of the toughest cases to prove and these types of cases also retraumatize victims," she said. “Today’s plea, really, resolves what has been years – in fact in some case – decades of trauma."
“It’s difficult for these victims to even come forward to report these crimes, much less to see a case through trial, to appear in court to face the person who assaulted them,” added assistant state’s attorney Jess Garth.
Everett faces 20 to 25 years in prison when he’s sentenced in January. Everett will have to register as a sex offender and be under sex offender supervision for the rest of his life. Earlier this month, Everett pleaded guilty to federal charges of kidnapping and production of child pornography. He’ll be sentenced on those charges in October.
