Shooting In PG County Injures 2, Prompts Lockdowns At Multiple Schools
Officers responded to reports of shots fired in multiple locations in northern Prince George's County, police said.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD β Two people were hospitalized and multiple schools were placed on lockdown Friday after a shooting in northern Prince George's County, authorities said.
According to county police, officers responded to a report of a shooter after shots were fired in multiple locations, including near 67th Avenue and Patterson Street in Riverdale.
Two people were taken to the hospital with injuries, police said, including one in critical condition.

A suspect is in custody. Police said no additional suspects remain at large.

Multiple schools were placed on lockdown during the police response, according to Prince George's County Public Schools.
As of 5:15 p.m., lockdowns remained in place at Greenbelt Middle School and Dora Kennedy French Immersion Schools.
Lockdowns have been lifted at:
- Beacon Heights ES
- Berwyn Heights ES
- Paint Branch ES
- Greenbelt ES
- Bladensburg HS
- Eleanor Roosevelt HS
