Shooting Suspect Tracked To South Carolina Now In Custody: Police

A South Carolina man who police say shot another man and a woman in Capitol Heights has been taken into custody and charged.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — The suspect wanted in connection to a domestic-related fatal shooting Saturday in the unincorporated section of Capitol Heights has been arrested.

Edward Gary, 37, of Winnsboro, South Carolina, has been charged with fatally shooting 43-year-old Isaac Jenkins of Winnsboro, South Carolina. The suspect and victim are family members and Gary is in custody in South Carolina, according to the Prince George's County Police Department.

On July 29 at approximately 9:20 p.m., officers were called to the 8500 block of Ashwood Drive for a report of a shooting. The victim was found outside suffering from a gunshot wound(s). He was pronounced dead on the scene. A woman suffered injuries not considered life-threatening in the shooting, the police department reported.

The preliminary investigation revealed Gary shot the victims during a dispute. He has been charged with first- and second-degree murder, attempted murder and related charges.
