Spring Arts & Crafts Market Saturday In Bowie Has Been Canceled Due To Weather Forecast

The Spring Arts & Crafts Market Saturday in Bowie has been canceled due to the impending stormy weather.

BOWIE, MD β€” Due to the unfavorable forecast for Saturday, the outdoor Spring Arts & Crafts Market planned for May 7 has been canceled.

The event was to be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot of the Bowie Center for Performing Arts located at 15200 Annapolis Rd. next to the Bowie Public Library where shoppers could find a variety of handmade jewelry, home decor, quilts and more.

At this point in time, the Bowie Farmers' Market, which opens for the season May 15, will still happen, weather permitting. Visitors will find fresh locally grown fruits and vegetables, meats, pastries and breads, flowers and plants, spices, tea and coffee, jams and jellies, homemade soaps and lotions, and handmade crafts, plus purchase a rain barrel from the Bowie Lions Club.

The market takes place on Sunday mornings through October from 8 a.m. to noon also in the parking lot of the Bowie Center for Performing Arts. Similar items will be available including a variety of fresh fruit and vegetables, breads and baked goods, beef and goat meat, fresh cut flowers and bedding plants.
