Storm Damages High-Rise in Adelphi (Video)
A violent storm that rolled through Prince George's County Thursday night forced a temporary evacuation of a 20-story apartment building.

ADELPHI, MD — A violent storm that rolled through Prince George's County Thursday night caused extensive damage to a 20-story apartment building in Adelphi, but fortunately no injuries.
Mark Brady, spokesman for the Prince George's County Fire Department, tweeted that strong winds damaged interior drywall on the top floors of the apartment building located at 1836 Metzerott Road.
Occupants were briefly evacuated. The county building inspector determined that all interior damage is cosmetic, and the structure itself is safe. All temporarily displaced occupants "will work with management to reoccupy condo units tonight," Brady tweeted.
