Student Arrested For Having A Handgun On The Bus, School Property: Prince George's Police
A 16-year-old student was arrested for having a handgun on a school bus and at school, according to Prince George's County Police.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A student at Frederick Douglass High School in Upper Marlboro was arrested Monday for having a handgun on school property.
According to the Prince George's County Police Department, a student told both the school resource officer and school security officers that a 16-year-old was showing off a gun while on the school bus heading to school. The SRO and security officers found the student at school and located the handgun in his backpack.
Police said the gun was unloaded but there was ammunition in the bag. The student was arrested.

The student has been charged as an adult with handgun on person, dangerous weapon on school property and possession of a firearm by a minor.
