Summer Meal Program Available to Prince George's Students

Breakfast and lunch will be served at participating schools, churches and libraries through the Countdown to Summer Meals.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — School officials kicked off the summer meal program for Prince George's Public Schools students with a special event at Bladensburg Elementary School.

The Countdown to Summer Meals celebration was held in partnership with the school district, the Washington Mystics and the American Dairy Association.

Breakfast and lunch will be served at participating schools, churches and libraries. The school district also is partnering with the county parks and recreation department to serve students in those summer programs.

Start dates of when the meals will be served vary from location to location.

According to the Prince George's County Memorial Library System, meals will be served at the following library branches:

  • Fairmount Heights
  • Glenarden
  • Hillcrest Heights
  • Hyattsville
  • New Carrollton
  • Oxon Hill
  • Spauldings

The meals program is open to anyone 18 years old and younger or anyone 21 and under with a disability. Marylanders can find a meal site near them at this site or text the word "FOOD" to 877877.
