Suspect Arrested In 2021 Fatal Shooting: Prince George's Police

A 27-year-old Temple Hills man has been charged with the fatal shooting of a 33-year-old Virginia man.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — The suspect wanted in connection with a fatal shooting that happened in Bladensburg in 2021 has been taken into custody.

Christian Valdivieso-Paz, 27, of Temple Hills has been charged with fatally shooting 33-year-old Christian Artiga of Alexandria, Virginia.

On May 15, 2021, at approximately 3:10 a.m., officers responded to a shooting in a parking lot in the 5600 block of Annapolis Road. Officers located the victim with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Detectives identified Valdivieso-Paz as the suspect thanks to information provided to the Prince George’s County Crime Solvers program. The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.

Valdivieso-Paz has been charged with first-degree murder and related charges.
