Suspect Arrested Months After Fatal Shooting: Prince George's Police

The suspect wanted in a November 2023 fatal shooting has been arrested, according to the Prince George's Police Department.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — The suspect in a fatal shooting that happened in November 2023 has been arrested, police say.

The Prince George’s County Police Department has arrested 40-year-old Gregory Patterson of no fixed address in connection to the fatal shooting of 57-year-old Donald Head of no fixed address.

On Nov. 27, 2023, at approximately 8:25 a.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 1700 block of Kenilworth Avenue in the unincorporated section of Capitol Heights. Officers found Head outside with gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital where he died a short time later.

A preliminary investigation indicates that the Patterson shot Head during an argument. They both knew each other.
