Upper Marlboro Man Arrested In Connection To Shooting Death Of D.C. Man: Police

An 18-year-old Upper Marlboro man has been arrested in connection to the shooting death of a Washington, D.C., man, police say.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A suspect has been arrested in connection to a fatal shooting that happened in late December in Bowie.

On Dec. 28 around 3 p.m., Prince George's police officers were called to the 900 block of St. Michaels Drive for a report of a shooting. Officers found 37-year-old Timothy Emmanuel Jones of Washington, D.C., in a vehicle with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene, according to police.

The preliminary investigation indicates the suspect, 18-year-old Harvey Barnes III of Upper Marlboro, shot Jones during a dispute. Both had mutual acquaintances, police stated.
