Suspect Charged in Landover Homicide: Police

Prince George's County Police say a man faces first-degree murder charges after a stabbing victim died of his wounds.

Murder charges have been filed against a Landover man after a victim in a March 17 stabbing died over the weekend from his wounds, authorities say.

The Prince George’s County Police Department charged 31-year-old Darnell Franklin Adams of the 6500 block of Columbia Terrace in Landover with first-degree murder in the death of James Talvin Wells, 48, of West Forest Road in Landover.

Police were called to the 7200 block of Landover Road March 17 for a reported stabbing. Wells was found by officers to be suffering from a stab wound. He was taken to an area hospital, where he died March 21.

Adams was found and arrested shortly after the stabbing, police say.

Investigators say the men argued, and it escalated into the stabbing. Adams remains in custody on a no-bond status.
