A suspect from Upper Marlboro hid stolen golf clubs inside lawn chair bags but only paid for the lawn chairs, Pennsylvania police say.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — An Upper Marlboro man has been charged in connection to the theft of more than $2,600 in golf clubs from two Pennsylvania Dick's Sporting Goods stores.

According to a police report, 29-year-old Aaron J. Sangil was captured on video taking three golf clubs, valued at $1,459.97, from the sporting goods store on Oct. 10. He stashed the golf clubs in lawn chair bags and then paid for the chairs at the cash register, but not the clubs hidden inside the bags.

Sangil went back to the store a second time on Oct. 11 and hid two more golf clubs valued at $1,259.98 inside a lawn chair bag and only paid for the chair. Four of the five missing golf clubs were found inside his vehicle, the police department reported. Sangil turned himself in to police Oct. 30.
