Suspect Sought After DC Man Fatally Shot In Fort Washington

Prince George's Police is searching for the suspect they say fatally shot a D.C. man in Fort Washington.

FORT WASHINGTON, MD — A 31-year-old Washington, D.C., man has been fatally shot and police are searching for the suspect.

The incident happened Wednesday around 2:35 a.m. Prince George's police officers were called to the 9500 block of Livingston Road for a report of a shooting. They found Tyrone Gantt with a gunshot wound. Despite emergency workers administering lifesaving measures, Gantt was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

Detectives are working to determine a motive and identify a suspect(s).
