Suspect Sought In Bowie Man's Death 6 Weeks After Shooting: Prince George's Police

A Bowie man has died approximately six weeks after he was shot. Prince George's Police are searching for the suspect(s) in this case.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A Bowie man has died after being shot in December 2023. Detectives now are searching for the suspect in this fatal shooting. A reward of up to $25,000 has been offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case.

On Dec. 22, 2023, at approximately 2:35 p.m., officers were called to the 300 block of Possum Court in the unincorporated section of Capitol Heights for a report of a shooting. Officers found 26-year-old Yohans Raynor of Bowie inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. On Feb. 6, Raynor died, according to the Prince George's Police Department.

Detectives are working to determine a motive and identify a suspect(s). Detectives do not believe this was a random crime, the police department stated. Anyone with information on this case who would like to speak to a detective can call 301-516-2512.
