Suspect Wanted In Riverdale Park Fatal Shooting Arrested
The suspect wanted in the fatal shooting that happened July 30 in Riverdale Park has been arrested and charged, according to police.
RIVERDALE PARK, MD — The suspect wanted in a fatal shooting that happened July 30 in Riverdale Park has been arrested.
The shooting happened around 10:15 p.m. in an apartment located in the 5400 block of Kenilworth Terrace. Police officers found the victim, 44-year-old Dolores Leiva Hernandez of Riverdale Park, in the apartment with a gunshot wound. The victim died at the scene, according to police.
The suspect, later identified as 34-year-old Noe Castillo-Mendez of Riverdale Park, was taken into custody a short time after the shooting. He has been charged with second-degree murder and related charges, Prince George's Police announced Tuesday.

The preliminary investigation showed the suspect and the victim knew each other. The motive behind the shooting remains under investigation.
