Suspended PGPD Captain Charged With Assault: Police
Maryland State Police arrested him Thursday for assaulting someone he knew, police say.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD -- A Prince George's County police captain who was on suspension has been charged with assault, police say.
Maryland State Police arrested PG County Police Captain Thomas Hart, a 22-year veteran of the department, on Thursday after a dispute with another individual that he knew, according to a report from the Prince George's County Police Department.
Hart, who had already been suspended from the department for the past three months, faces one count of felony assault and one count of misdemeanor assault, the report states.

Hart, who is 52, was suspended in April due to a criminal investigation into an unrelated matter.
