Swastika, Anti-Gay Messages Found In UMD Dorms, Cops Say: Report

The University of Maryland Police Department reportedly is investigating several "hate-bias" incidents.

COLLEGE PARK, MD -- Students at the University of Maryland discovered a swastika and anti-LGBT messages written on whiteboards in dorms on campus, and police are investigating, according to a report.

The Baltimore Sun reports that the University of Maryland Police Department is investigating them as "hate-bias" incidents. Police were called to Queen Anne's Hall on Monday after a student overheard anti-LGBT comments and then found the messages on dorm whiteboards.

Police responded to La Plata Hall later in the day to a swastika that was drawn on a whiteboard, according to the report.
