Teen Killed After Crashing Car Into Wooded Area Of Greenbelt: Prince George's Police
A 17-year-old has died after police say he crashed his car into a wooded area near Greenbelt. Police are investigating the incident.
GREENBELT, MD — A 17-year-old has died after the vehicle he was driving veered off the road and crashed into a wooded area.
Prince George's police officers were called to the 7900 block of Kenilworth Avenue Feb. 23 around 8:40 a.m. for a report of a single-vehicle collision. They found Erson Cruz of Riverdale unresponsive. He was pronounced dead on the scene, according to the police department.
The preliminary investigation indicates that Cruz was traveling southbound on Kenilworth Avenue when his car left the roadway and crashed into a wooded area. The Prince George’s County Police Department investigates fatal crashes that occur in the city of Greenbelt.
