Hundreds Salute Slain PG County Officer (Video)
Cpl. Mujahid Ramzziddin was shot to death protecting his neighbor on Wednesday, police say.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD -- Hundreds of officers and civilians from around the region saluted as the procession for slain Prince George's County Police Cpl. Mujahid Ramzziddin took his body to its final resting place Friday afternoon.
It had only been 48 hours since Ramzziddin was gunned down by a shotgun-wielding man in Brandywine as the officer protected his neighbor, the suspect's estranged wife, police say. The suspect was later shot to death in a confrontation with officers.
Due to his Muslim faith, Ramzziddin didn't have the long procession that normally accompanies a slain officer's funeral. Instead, after a short service, he was whisked away to his burial site in a custom that was in accordance with what they believe his wishes would have been.
