Three-Motorcycle Crash Kills One In Prince George’s County
Police are investigating the Sunday crash in which the driver of a motorcycle lost control and crashed into two stopped motorcycles.
UPPER MARLBORO, MD — Maryland State Police are investigating a Sunday crash involving three motorcycles that left one person dead. According to police, the accident occurred at approximately 6:10 p.m. at the ramp from Harry S Truman Drive to Central Avenue in Upper Marlboro.
Police said a motorcycle driven by Jared Stewart, 26, was traveling on the ramp from Harry S Truman Drive to westbound Central Avenue when it lost control, traveled across a grass median and struck two motorcycles stopped on the right shoulder of the ramp from Central Avenue to Largo Road.
Stewart was thrown from his motorcycle and taken to University of Maryland Prince George’s Hospital Center after first responders arrived on the scene. He was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said. The drivers of the parked motorcycles refused treatment at the scene.
