Tree Lighting, Holiday House Tour, Sparkle Mart In Prince George's
Help celebrate the holidays with a tree lighting Saturday in University Park and a tour of decorated homes. Be sure to attend Sparkle Mart.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — On Saturday, the community is invited to gather together for a Christmas tree lighting at Henson Green in University Park at 6401 Queens Chapel Road starting at 6 p.m.
Usher in the holidays with a tour of five homes specially decorated for the season on Dec. 10 from 3 to 7 p.m. The UPWC holiday house tour allows the organizers to support different charities.
A production of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas will be presented Dec. 20 at 10 a.m. at Prince George's Publick Playhouse, 5445 Landover Rd., Hyattsville. The musical features Santa, reindeer, dancing sugarplums and more.

As part of Greenbelt's Winter Lights Festival, the Sparkle Mart will be Dec. 3-4 at the Greenbelt Community Center, 15 Crescent Rd. Saturday hours will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be more than 80 regional artists, artisans and authors on hand.
