Tree Lighting, Holiday Movie, Workshop With Santa's Elves In Greenbelt

Watch Santa light the Roosevelt Center tree Friday followed by a viewing of How the Grinch Stole Christmas Friday.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — The Greenbelt Concert Band Brass Choir will herald the arrival of Santa to light the tree at the Roosevelt Center Friday at 7 p.m.

There will be snacks and a free screening of How the Grinch Stole Christmas at the Old Greenbelt Theatre also located at 129 Centerway. There also will be the Deco the Halls vintage holiday installation at the Greenbelt Museum that can be viewed from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at 10B Crescent Road.

Children ages six to 12 are invited to spend the afternoon with Santa's elves Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. creating holiday crafts and treats. Make terra cotta gingerbread houses, enjoy reindeer hot cocoa, create ornaments, craft scented Christmas trees, snowman candles and more. Register for this event.
