Turn In Guns for Gift Cards No Questions Asked: Police
The county's police department is teaming with an Upper Marlboro church to collect guns, no questions asked, in exchange for gift cards.

An effort to curb gun violence in Prince George’s County has police teaming up with a church to hose a gun buy-back program.
Residents may dispose of guns no questions asked at the Nov. 21 “Gift Cards for Guns” event. Prince George’s County Police officers will accept guns from anyone who wants trade them in. The guns may be in any condition.
In return, those who surrender guns will receive a gift card valued at $50, $100 or $150, depending on the type of gun.

Anyone who participates is asked to come to the collection site with the gun unloaded and in the trunk of their vehicle. A uniformed police officer will greet them at and provide further instructions.
Unwanted ammunition, BB and pellet guns may be disposed of at this event, but those items will not be eligible for a gift card.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 21 at First Baptist Church of Glenarden, 600 Watkins Park Drive in Upper Marlboro.
