Two Productions Coming To The Bowie Playhouse This Summer

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — The Bowie Playhouse in Whitemarsh Park will be showing "One Slight Hitch," a comedy by Lewis Black, July 8-31.

According to the playhouse, "One Slight Hitch" focuses on a woman's wedding day and her mom who wants to make sure everything is perfect. Except everything gets turned upside down quickly.

2nd Star Productions will present “Sweat" Aug. 19-Sept. 3. This 2017 Pulitzer Prize-winning drama tells the story of a group of friends who have spent their lives sharing drinks, secrets and laughs while working together on the factory floor. But when layoffs and picket lines begin to chip away at their trust, the friends find themselves pitted against each other in a heart-wrenching fight to stay afloat. The show will
