Uber Driver Kidnaps Woman After Picking Her Up in DC, Takes Her to College Park Hotel: Police
Police say he assaulted her and used her credit card during the terrifying ordeal.

COLLEGE PARK, MD — An Uber driver is accused of kidnapping and assaulting a woman in College Park after picking her up in Washington, D.C. earlier this month.
Police arrested 29-year-old Westagne Pierre of Greenbelt, an Uber driver who picked up his victim in D.C. on Oct. 18 and then drove her to a hotel in College Park even though she asked to be taken to Virginia, according to a report from the Prince George's County Police Department.
"Once there, the suspect removed the victim from the car and carried her into a hotel room," the statement notes. "The investigation reveals he also used the victim’s credit card a short time later."

Police charged Pierre with kidnapping, assault and for fraudulently using the woman's credit card. He was arrested on Oct. 27. Additional charges are pending with the State's Attorney's office.
He is currently in custody at the Department of Corrections.
