Youths Who Pulled Fire Alarm At UMD Are In Big Trouble: Police

The pair were captured on surveillance video after activating a fire alarm early one morning last month, police say.

COLLEGE PARK, MD -- A pair of what appear to be University of Maryland students -- or at least college-age -- who were apparently trying to have a good time last month by yanking a fire alarm in the early morning hours are now in the crosshairs of campus police.

The University of Maryland Police Department has released a surveillance photo from the incident and is asking for the public's help in identifying the culprits.

"The individuals pictured above are persons of interest in an unlawful entry at Centreville Hall and a false report of a fire alarm at Cambridge Hall," the police report states. "Both incidents occurred on March 11, 2018, in the early morning hours."
