Unarmed Man Shot 11 Times, Murderer Faces Life in Prison
A Prince George's County jury on Dec. 5 convicted Darius "Dirty" Wilson for shooting an unarmed man 11 times in District Heights.
UPPER MARLBORO, MD — A Prince George's County jury on Dec. 5 convicted Darius “Dirty” Wilson, of Waldorf, for the first-degree murder of 23-year-old Rondell Foo and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony or crime of violence. Wilson's sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 7, and he is facing a life term plus 20 years in prison, according to prosecutors.
On Nov. 21, 2017, the Prince George’s County Police Department responded to an apartment complex in District Heights for reports of a man, later identified as Foo, lying on the ground. Foo had been shot 11 times and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Video footage from the apartment complex showed a man with a handgun walking back to the area where Foo's body was found. During an interview with police, Wilson identified himself as the man in the surveillance footage.

Investigators said that Foo’s last cell phone communication was to a disposable phone that was purchased by Wilson and later found in a storm drain near the crime scene. The burner phone showed only one call to the store where Wilson bought the phone and one text to Foo asking him to meet him shortly before he was found shot to death.
“This conviction is another example of justice being served. I am grateful for the extraordinary amount of time and effort the prosecutor put into this case to ensure some level of peace for the family of Rondell Foo. Mr. Wilson’s actions were unacceptable and he will pay the full price for his malicious behavior,” State’s Attorney Aisha Braveboy said in a news release.
