Bowie Residents Encouraged To Vote On Two Mural Proposals For Bowie City Gym

Bowie city officials want residents to vote now for their preferred mural slated for an outside wall of Bowie City Gym.

BOWIE, MD — City officials want residents to weigh in on two artist submissions slated for a new mural installation on the outside wall of Bowie City Gym.

The Bowie Arts Committee has selected the theme “social justice and diversity” for the mural. The theme for this project is taken from a quote by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., “A threat to justice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”

Officials and the committee want the artwork to lend an "inviting" feel to the community space.
