What's Open, Closed For Labor Day 2022 In Prince George's County

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — County government offices and the courts will not be open Monday for Labor Day, including the animal services facility and adoption center, the Brown Station Road sanitary landfill, the Brown Station Road public convenience drop-off center and the electronics recycling acceptance site, the county materials recycling facility, the county organics composting facility, as well as the household hazardous waste acceptance site and the Missouri Avenue solid waste acceptance and recycling drop-off center.

City of Bowie government offices will be closed Monday.

City of Laurel offices, including the passport office are closed Monday.

All county parks will be open for their normal hours.

The Prince George's County Memorial Library System will be closed Sunday and Monday.

Prince George's County Public School System buildings and offices will be closed Monday.

There will be no curbside trash and recycling pickup, nor residential organics and yard trim collections in Prince George's County on Monday. Curbside trash pickup will resume on the next regularly scheduled day and organics/yard trim collections on Sept. 12.

There will be no curbside trash and recycling pickup in the city of Bowie Monday. It will resume on the next regularly scheduled day.

Monday's trash and recycling pickup will be bumped to Tuesday, Tuesday's pickup will move to Wednesday, and Wednesday through Friday won't have any change to the schedule. There won't be any bulk or yard debris pickup on Wednesday; it will be bumped to Sept. 14.

TheBus will not operate on Monday. Regular COVID-19 operations of TheBus will resume Tuesday. The County’s Call-A-Bus and PGC Link services, including dialysis transportation, will not operate Monday. Regular COVID-19 operations of the Call-A-Bus and PGC Link services will resume Tuesday.

PGC311 will be closed Monday and resume regular operations Tuesday. However, residents can still submit service/issue requests online at www.countyclick311.com/.

The MARC train will not run Monday. All MARC schedules are listed on its website.
