What's Open, Closed in Bowie, Prince George's County on Christmas 2015
Some services and facilities will be suspended on the Dec. 25 holiday.

Bowie will celebrate the Christmas holiday by closing all city offices on Friday, Dec. 25.
According to the city’s website, there is no refuse or recycling collection that day. Collection will resume on the next regularly scheduled day.
The following services and facilities in Prince George’s County will be closed or suspended on Dec. 25 for the Christmas holiday.

- Animal Services Facility: Closed
- Brown Station Road Sanitary Landfill: Closed
- Brown Station Road Public Convenience Center: Closed
- Electronics Recycling Acceptance Site: Closed
- Household Hazardous Waste Acceptance Site: Closed
- Missouri Avenue Solid Waste Acceptance and Recycling Center: Closed
- Prince George’s County Yard Waste Composting Facility: Closed
- Prince George’s County Materials Recycling Facility: Closed
- Bulky Trash Collection: No Collection, Collection Resumes Dec. 28
- Trash Collection in County Contracted Areas: No Collection, Collection Resumes Dec. 28
- Curbside Recycling Collection: No Collection, Collection Resumes Dec. 28
​TheBus, a public transit service operated by the Prince George’s County Department of Public Works and Transportation, will not operate on Dec. 25. Regular operations of TheBus will resume on Dec. 28.
In addition, the County’s Para-Transit and Call-A-Bus service will not operate on Dec. 25. Normal operations of the Para-transit services and Call-A-Bus will resume on Dec. 28.

The Department of Permitting, Inspections and Enforcement will be closed on Dec. 25. Regular business hours will resume on Dec. 28.
Prince George’s County Click 3-1-1 will be closed on Dec. 25 and will return to normal operations on Dec. 28. However, residents can still submit service/issue requests online.
