What's Open, Closed For Veterans Day 2022 In Prince George's County

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — In recognition of Veterans Day on Friday, government offices will be closed as will the Prince George's County Memorial Library System, the animal services facility and adoption center, the electronics recycling acceptance site and the household hazardous waste acceptance site.

There won't be any bulky trash collection (white goods/appliances and scrap tires), which will resume Nov. 14. PGC311 will be closed Friday and resume regular operations Monday. Residents can still submit service/issue requests online at www.countyclick311.com.

TheBus, a public transit service operated by the Prince George’s County Department of Public Works and Transportation, will operate Friday. Route 51X will operate due to the pedestrian bridge closure. The county’s Call-A-Bus and PGC Link services, including dialysis transportation, will not operate Friday. Regular operations of the Call-A-Bus and PGC Link services will resume Monday.

The following sites will be open Friday:

• Brown Station Road Sanitary Landfill
• Brown Station Road Public Convenience Drop-off Center
• Missouri Avenue Solid Waste Acceptance and Recycling Drop-off Center
• Prince George’s County Materials Recycling Facility
• Prince George’s County Organics Composting Facility
• Residential Organics and Yard Trim Collections (regular collections occur Monday, Nov. 7)
