Woman Charged in Brutal Assault of Special Needs Student on PG County School Bus: Police

Police say she repeatedly a struck a 19-year-old special needs student on Sept. 2.

MITCHELLVILLE, MD β€” Police have charged a woman in connection with the assault on a special needs student on a Prince George's County school bus last month.

Police say that 45-year-old Owoade Elusanni repeatedly hit a 19-year-old student back on Sept. 2 in an incident that was recorded by a camera on the bus, according to a report from the Prince George's County Police Department.

The student was not injured in the attack. The bus was in a parking lot at C. Elizabeth Rieg Regional School.

Elusanni, who is from Lanham, was charged with second degree assault and reckless endangerment, and a criminal summons has been issued for her.

The report adds: "Anyone with information in this case is urged to call the Prince George’s County Police Department’s Children and Vulnerable Adult Unit at 301-772-4930.
