Woman Groped At Greenbelt Park, 2 Masked Males With Gun Found At Mall: Police

A woman reported being groped by a man at a Greenbelt park while police say a man and a teen wearing masks with a gun were at the mall.

GREENBELT, MD — A woman walking around Buddy Attick Park reported being groped in her private areas by a man wearing a tank top and shorts. The incident happened Saturday around 7:20 p.m., police report.

Greenbelt Police said the woman was walking between the Greenhill entrance and playground area of the park when she was approached and grabbed from behind by a man. After groping her, the man ran off to the parking lot.

On Saturday, a man and a teen were arrested at Beltway Plaza Mall after having been banned from the property earlier that day by mall security. When mall security officers saw the two individuals return to the property, they were wearing masks on their faces, police said.

Officers detained them for trespassing and discovered that one of the suspects was carrying a loaded semi-automatic handgun in his waistband. They also were in possession of a large amount of controlled dangerous substances. Both have been charged with trespassing, drug possession and other firearm-related offenses, police reported.
