Woman Killed, 2 Men Critically Injured In House Fire
A woman died in a house fire and two men were taken to the hospital in critical condition where one has been upgraded to stable condition.
CHILLUM, MD — Investigators continue to look into the cause of a fire that claimed the life of a woman and sent two men to the hospital in critical condition Sunday.
All three residents were taken to the hospital where the woman died. One patient remains in critical condition and the second man has been listed is in stable condition, the fire department reported.
Firefighters were called around 9:36 a.m. to a two-story single-family home located in the 900 block of Somerset Place, where fire was pouring out of the basement. Crews quickly knocked down the flames, officials stated.

PGFD personnel returned to the 900 block of Somerset Place in Chillum, leaving fire safety information at 119 homes, installing 12 smoke alarms and checking 18 others to ensure they were working properly.
