Upper Marlboro Woman Killed In Hit-And-Run In Seat Pleasant: Prince George's Police
An Upper Marlboro woman was fatally hit by a vehicle in Seat Pleasant Monday. Police are working to identify the vehicle that took off.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A 27-year-old Upper Marlboro woman has been killed after a vehicle crashed into her. The driver did not stay but fled the scene, according to police.
The incident happened Jan. 29 at around 3:20 a.m. Officers with the Seat Pleasant Police Department were called to the area of Central Avenue and the Capital Beltway for an unresponsive woman lying in the road who was later identified as Ayanna Myrick. She was pronounced dead on the scene, according to the Prince George's County Police Department.
A preliminary investigation indicates that the driver of an unidentified vehicle was traveling westbound on Central Avenue before the Capital Beltway, when for reasons under investigation, they hit Myrick. Investigators are working to determine the make and model of the striking vehicle.
