Woman Trapped Underneath Overturned Vehicle In Crash
Firefighters rescued a woman who was partially ejected and trapped underneath an overturned vehicle in the early morning hours Sunday.

TEMPLE HILLS, MD — A woman found herself partially ejected from an overturned vehicle, trapped underneath the wreckage, and had to be freed from firefighters.
The incident happened around 3:20 a.m. Sunday at the Outer Loop of 495 at Temple Hills Road. Crews found the vehicle resting on its top "well off the roadway," the fire department stated. It was surrounded by ice.
Crews removed the ice from around the vehicle and were able to extricate the patient. She was taken up the ice-covered hill with a Stokes rescue basket, evaluated then taken tot he hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries, the fire department noted.
