On Feb. 29, 2020, a pedestrian was found dead in the shoulder of the inner loop of Interstate 495 where it intersects the ramp for Interstate 95 northbound, an incident report noted. Officers eventually identified the victim as 60-year-old Henry Washington of Washington, D.C.
The write-up informed that a car struck Washington sometime before 5:30 a.m. while he walked along the highway. Investigators believe debris on the scene is from a 2018 or 2019 silver Nissan Altima.
