Young Child Struck by Car in Bowie, Serious Injuries Reported
A Maryland State Police helicopter transported the elementary school-aged child to the hospital.

BOWIE, MD — A child has been seriously injured after being struck by a car in Bowie Wednesday morning.
The child, whose age was not released but was reportedly in elementary school, was struck by a car in the 3100 block of Belair Drive, tweeted Prince George's County Fire Spokesman Mark Brady.
The injuries are serious but appear to be non-life-threatening, Brady said.
