6 Locals Named to 2012 US Lacrosse Teams

Five student-athletes from  were named to the US Lacrosse 2012 All-Academic Team and one named to the All-American Team.

According to its website, US Lacrosse is the national governing body of men's and women's lacrosse, primarily serving the youth game. The All-Academic team is formed on a nomination basis.

Broadneck High student-athletes named to the All-Academic team's Chesapeake chapter include:

• Nikki  Sortisio
• Devani Smith
• Sara Ruzzi
• Aislinn Probst
• Anna Haley

Broadneck High student-athletes named to the All-American Team:

• Aislinn Probst

Earlier this year,  in the wake of the death of one of their players.
