Anne Arundel Community College women's soccer team capped off their 2012 regular season with a 3-0 shutout over CCBC Essex on Tuesday night.

Anne Arundel Community College women’s soccer team capped off their 2012 regular season with a 3-0 shutout over CCBC Essex on Tuesday night.
The game was notched 0-0 at halftime but would not end that way as the Pioneers erupted for three goals in the second half. Meghenn Jackson scored two goals and finishes the season with 14 goals. Sophomore Katie Cox scored a goal and freshman Alyssa Hankins connected for an assist.

The Pioneer defense and goalie Chelsea Clark-Ames picked up their third straight shut-out and Ames recorded 11 saves.
Finishing with an 8-4 overall record and 5-2 Maryland JUCO conference mark the Pioneers will most likely host a Region 20 play-in game on Tuesday, October 23, to decide who advances to the Region 20 Tournament hosted by AACC. More information on that game to follow.

The Pioneers are hot entering the Region tournament. They are riding a four game win streak, having outscored opponents 23-1 in those final four games.
