Bay Bridge Boat Show Starts Thursday

The annual boat show is across the Chesapeake Bridge, but it's a sight to see.

More than 200 boats of all shapes and sizes are being readied for display in the Chesapeake Bay for the Bay Bridge Boat Show.

The 30th annual boat show is located just across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge from Broadneck in Stevensville.Β In addition to all the boats, there will be a number of marine-related exhibitors showing off their latest wares and more.

Recognized as the largest spring recreational boating extravaganza in the mid-Atlantic, the annual Bay Bridge Boat Show will be held in Stevensville, MD, April 19-22, 2012. The 30th annual edition of the show will include:

  • Grand prize of a seasonal boat slip at Bay Bridge Marina for one lucky boat buyer
  • Valuable door prizes from Helly Hansen, Maui Jim, Alan James Robinson,
  • Hemingway's Restaurant and Scandia Marine Services
  • National Yamaha Offshore Demo Tour
  • Fishing pier sponsored by PropTalk Magazine
  • Seminars by Chesapeake Bay Magazine and Annapolis School of Seamanship
  • Antique and classic boats and cars on display
  • Extensive food court
  • Beverages of choice
  • Steel drum band music
  • On-site parking to benefit Kent Island Athletic Boosters

More than 200 new and brokerage boats of every size and style will be on display in the water and on land, including a wide range of water craft from PWC's, inflatables and kayaks, to fishing boats and trailerable family fun. A large selection of express cruisers, trawlers, and cruising boats will also be in the water to tour and enjoy.

The boat show is located at the Bay Bridge Marina, which is off exit 37 on U.S. Route 50. Parking will be available at nearby Kent Island High School for a $2 donation to the school's Athletic Booster Club.

Admission for adults is $12. Kids ages 7-12 years get in for $6, and those younger than 7 get in for free.
