Passport To The World

The word, "travel" comes to us from the French,"travail," which translates as "to work, especially of a painful or laborious nature!"Today we hope that our travels are just the opposite! With the Internet and modern air travel making our world smaller, we find ourselves traveling to places we could only dream about years ago...as a wise man once said.."It costs nothing to dream and everything not to."

 Back in 1999, a small group of travel lovers here in the Annapolis area came together and started a club for exchanging tales and photos from their exciting and sometimes, life-changing trips to exotic and far-away places - and we continue to meet and share these moments today!

 So why start a blog? Perhaps to entice others to take that first step, to venture out into the scary world of international travel or perhaps the blog will serve as a focal point for current travel news items that a lot of you, with your busy schedules, might not otherwise have heard about, or perhaps best of all, to give you a chance to tell others about that trip of a lifetime that you recently took, or that one very special moment that happened in Italy, or that amazing lady that crossed your path while hiking through the Cotswold's!

 I will be including photos as well and welcome yours. We will be highlighting international travel for the most part, but will be including cruise news since many of us have now become cruisers with the Port of Baltimore so close.
