Reflection Time
Later this week will mark the two month mark of blogging on Patch. This has been a rewarding experience so far, and one I hope to keep for a long time to come.

Later this week will mark the two month mark of blogging on the Patch. This has been a rewarding experience so far, and one I hope to keep for a long time to come.
One of the big things I've grappled with since starting to blog on the Patch is how will my established blog, Photos Along the Way, fit into the blogging mix. At first, I thought I would simply mirror what I blogged here on my personal blog. However, that has proven to be slightly redundant and not very interesting.
For the first month, posting on the Patch drove visits to my personal blog. Recently though, visitors to the blog have been few and far between.

So, in reflecting on what to do, I have decided to separate posts. From now on, I'll focus on a post or two per week here on Patch, and post several photos over on my personal blog as well. My posts here will include some writing and reflecting as well as photography; whereas my personal blog will take more of a short commentary about the photo type presentation.
That's not to say that I will be saving what I think to be better photos for Patch over posting them to my blog, or vice-a-versa. But, I won't be mirroring what I post here and what I post over at Photos Along the Way. Hopefully, this will build interest in both my posting on Patch and Photos Along the Way.

The photo above was taken in Bethesda, Md., a few weekends ago on my way to dinner with friends. I thought the reflection of the buildings on the glass was interesting. There was a middle-aged woman standing to my left while I was taking the shot; she was very interested in why I was taking this photo. When I explained I thought the clouds and other buildings reflecting in the glass was appealing, she agreed and snapped a photo herself.
