Broadneck Golf Team Misses Shot at State Tourney
Despite the loss, Broadneck's Athletic Director Ken Kazmarek said he was proud of the team's performance.

Broadneck High School’s golf team won’t be heading to the state tournament for the first time in years.
The team placed seventh in Friday’s District 5 championships, two weeks after winning the county title over other Anne Arundel County high schools. However, some of those teams ended up placing higher than Broadneck (354) in the district tournament—with South River High School in third (332) and Severna Park High School in fourth (334), according to The Capital.
Despite missing the road to the state tournament this year, Broadneck’s Athletic Director Ken Kazmarek said he was proud of the team’s performance and their county title victory.

“It wasn’t expected. They went into that like any other golf meet just trying to do their best, but there were several strong teams this year,” Kazmarek said. “Golf is funny—it really depends on how your team performs.”
Kazmarek thanked the team’s coach Pete Eskey and team captain Jake Manley for a great season.
