Church To Screen Suicide Awareness Film

 (BEP) is screening the suicide-awareness film, To Save A Life, on Wednesday.

"We felt that offering this film would serve the students in our community," said Courtney Della, the youth coordinator at the church.

The 2010 Christian drama deals with how a teen grapples with life after his best friend commits suicide. The film is rated PG-13, and the community is invited to attend, according to a release from BEP.

After the film, there will be a small panel of counselors to answer written questions from the audience. Index cards and pencils will be made available, and there will be a brief intermission to collect them. The panel will select representative questions to answer.

BEP has sponsored 5th Quarter for the Broadneck community for the past 18 years. The goal of 5th Quarter is to offer students a safe, positive alternative to combat drug and alcohol abuse at after-game parties, according to a release.
