Davy Dance Academy Expands Class Offerings

The newly opened Davy Dance Academy in Cape St. Claire is offering several new classes this fall.

The dance school opened in August in the former location of Annapolis Dance Studio in the Cape St. Claire shopping center. Patch met with owner Michelle Davy and learned how opening her own studio has been one of her lifelong dreams.

New classes being added in September include:

• Middle school dance: Ballet/tap/jazz (ages 11 and up) on Tuesdays
• Pre-ballet/tap (ages 3-4) on Thursdays at 9-9:45 a.m. 
• Homeschool dance class (ages 9-13) on Thursdays at 1:15-2:45 p.m. 
• Broadway tap/jazz (ages 10 and up) on Thursdays
• Zumba on Thursdays at 6:30-7:30 p.m.  
• Latin ballroom dance on Thursdays at 7:30-8:30 p.m.
