Delegate Vitale Appointed to Governor's Family Violence Council
Delegate Cathy Vitale has been appointed to the Governor's Family Violence Council serving Maryland families to determine how to best overcome domestic violence.

The council works to serve Maryland families in determining how to best overcome domestic violence.
“I am pleased to be given this opportunity," Vitale said in a release. "Domestic violence is a serious problem in Maryland. It’s effects on families and particularly children can have long lasting negative implications as they group up and form their own families."Â

Vitale resides in Severna Park and blogs regularly for the Severna Park Patch. She will be one of four state legislators to serve on the council along with other cabinet officials and members of the public.
The council aims to study situations resulting from domestic violence and find ways to resolve these issues and make Maryland families safer.

 “It is my hope that both my legislative and legal experience helps bring real change to current situations," she said in the release.
