This is the third Annual Annapolis Tomato Festival. There will be a Chesapeake Chili Cook-off, a Salsa Competition and the Ledo Fastest Pizza Eating Contest during this family friendly event. The public can register for all contests. In addition, restaurants and individuals may enter the cooking contests.
There will be samplings of a variety of tomatoes and different tomato-based foods. There will also be cooking demonstrations and live music.
A portion of the money raised from the Tomato Festival will go to Save the Coconuts, a not-for-profit organization based in Annapolis that raises money and awareness to fight breast cancer and to improve the quality of life for those living with the disease.
Tickets are available at both the Severna Park and Davidsonville locations.
