Anne Arundel County Recreation and Parks serves millions of residents and visitors annually through a wide variety of services and programs. Its primary focus is to provide comprehensive recreational programs for residents and safeguard valuable land through the maintenance and management of over 160 parks and natural areas. The department manages specialized recreational facilities, including two swim centers, two golf courses, three ice rinks, a baseball stadium, a softball complex, and programs tailored to diverse needs ranging from school-age childcare to adaptive recreation. It also cares for thousands of acres of land, encompassing community parks, greenways, archaeological sites, environmental and historical preserves, and large regional parks spanning several hundred acres. The auditions are for the AACC February production of Shakespeare's comedic classic, "The Taming of the Shrew." Auctions will be held both days in the Humanities Building Room Robert E. Kauffman Theater in the Pascal Center for Performing Arts. Prepare a one-minute Shakespeare monologue and choose from one of the two auditions. Rehearsals for this production will start in early December.
