Commission on Disability Issues to Meet

The Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities announces: 

The Anne Arundel County Commission on Disability Issues will meet from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, in the Chesapeake Room.

Kelly Rodgers, program director of Maryland Therapeutic Riding, Inc. (MTR), will be the guest speaker. Maryland Therapeutic Riding is a non-profit organization located between Baltimore and Annapolis on a 25-acre farm. With the help of hundreds of volunteers and generous community contributors, MTR strives to improve the lives of special needs riders of all ages using a high quality program.

The commission regularly meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month at this location except for December. Anyone planning to attend who needs accommodations should contact the Americans with Disabilities Act office at 410-222-4383 or by e-mail at exjord00@aacounty.org at least seven days in advance of the meeting. TTY users should please call via Maryland Relay at 7-1-1.

The next commission meeting will be held on May 24, 2011.
